DUE CARE AND ATTENTION

The Penguin Chap appreciates the fragile nature of most vintage books, as well as the desire for customers to receive books exactly as they are shown on this website.

Therefore, I take care to bubble wrap all books and insert them into either a custom book sleeve, or into specially purchased boxes with extra padding. Since The Penguin Chap operates in an environmentally friendly manner, wherever possible, we will recycle boxes and packaging.

DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Depending on size and weight, domestic orders will be sent via Royal Mail, either as 2nd Class Small Parcels, Tracked 48 Hour parcels, or as Signed For Special deliveries (depending on item value). Domestic orders will usually be dispatched within 2-3 working days from ordering, with a delivery aim of 2 working days after that. Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays are not considered working days.

International orders will be sent by Royal Mai, either as International Standard or international Tracked Parcels (dependent on weight and value), with a delivery timeframe of 7-10 working days.

All customers will receive a notification email as soon as their order has been dispatched, and if applicable, a tracking number will be added to order details. We endeavour to have your order delivered in the timeframes specified above, however, in the current circumstances, delays of around a week are possible. Delays may also be due to busy periods, personal holidays and external delaying factors.

RETURNS POLICY

To make a return, you’ll need to contact me then arrange for return shipping and pay the associated costs.

Please ensure the outer packaging is marked with ‘RETURNED GOODS’ to avoid any customs charges. The Penguin Chap is not responsible for any return customs charges made.
